Meet the latest addition to our family...Mo. He was abandoned at the park, poor little guy. Someone from church found him and now he belongs to Eva. Isn't he a cutie? And the joys of crate training begin.
Eva and I went to the Orange County Fair last week. With talk of selling the fairgrounds we weren't sure what the fate of the fair would be in the future, so we thought we should take it in one more time at least. We saw the baby pigs and goats (awww) and ate australian potatoes and homemade potato chips. We were all potatoed out and skipped the bbq'd corn this year. The art was amazing, as usual. I even procured a set of tortilla warmers for those rare occasions when I cook. Speaking of cooking, I saw Julie & Julia last night. It was good! :D Of course I enjoy most everything that Meryl Streep is in. It's been a while since I've been to such a lighthearted movie at the theaters, which was a nice change. Abe had to work and I doubt he would have gone to the movie anyway. He is still riding his bike quite a bit in readiness for the century next month. Maybe I should get busy and train too instead of going to the movies and eating raisinets!
Tomorrow Eric will leave for a whitewater rafting trip with the church youth group. He had a blast there last year. I am just glad that he will be away from his computer for a few days. He also has some homework to do before school starts, so I guess he will be busy over the next few weeks. I have been invited to an Angel game tomorrow, which should be fun. Hot though, I bet! Abe has to work again and Eva has plans that even she doesn't know about yet. Someone already had to line up a sitter for Mo!
Today, my great niece, Punkie, had her first birthday party! She is even more cute than Mo. haha I will have to post some pics of her here too. I wish we were closer to Punkie and her Mom and Dad but alas we are on opposite ends of the country and have to rely on pics and Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, I am not too sure about this Farmville application. I get many, many gifts a day and they are piling up on me. Not to mention the patches of strawberries that I keep forgetting to pick. What will happen if I forget to milk my cow and goat?! Such stress!!
We still haven't received our Fatali photograph. Michael Fatali himself called me on Friday at work and said we can expect it by the end of the month. Eva just took her senior pictures (agh!) so I guess we will have all kinds of new photographs on our walls soon!
I don't know if anybody actually reads this blog, but if you do you are now caught up on the entire family. Thanks for reading. lol
